Colette and Lily Rose
coletteandlily.jpg
This is my new lamb daughter, Lily Rose. Yes, she is wearing a diaper.

This section addresses the academic components of my pedagogical background as well as the equally important  non-academic components and activities. It is here, too, I wish to acknowledge the educational and intellectual debts of a lifetime, beginning with my parents, for the love and care they devoted to my upbringing; journeying to Macalester College, where I received a true liberal arts education; launching off from the University of Minnesota, where I was trained as a scholar, with special gratitude to David W. Nobel and Yi-Fu Tuan; and, finally, living it all with my husband, Steven L. Sobel, who has nurtured and supported me, while fulfilling the demands of his medical career. ‏דֹּודִ֥י לִי֙ וַאֲנִ֣י לֹ֔ו הָרֹעֶ֖ה בַּשֹּׁושַׁנִּֽים  (shir -has, 2:16)
